Assignment Background
We were booked for this client as directed for an 8-hour hire at 17:00 pick up from Four Seasons Hotel. There was some indication as to what was required: a little shopping followed by dinner and a late night club. Our driver was at the pick-up point 15 minutes prior to the booking time and advised the client of our arrival. The client came out about an hour later, not unusual with this type of booking and directed our chauffeur to Selfridges. During this time, the client requested the chauffeur to pick up some shopping bags and bring them to the car to be taken back later, so allowing the client to continue his shopping.
Dinner in swanky Mayfair
We asked about the dinner reservations and at that point, none were made. We offered a few relevant suggestions and made the calls to secure a table for our client and his guests for 21:30. The client chose Amazonico, the latest fashionable restaurant in Mayfair, and made the booking accordingly with the help of our contact at the restaurant.
Bentley at the door
Whilst the client was having dinner, our chauffeur took the shopping back to the Four Seasons hotel as instructed, and asked for the items to be sent up to his room before returning to Berkeley Square to wait for the group to arrive and advise of their next plans. Just before midnight the client came out of the restaurant and requested to go to 5 Hertford Street before returning to Berkeley Square for a stint at Annabel’s. At 3am, the Bentley was waiting outside the door for the client at which point he requested to return to his hotel after his evening out.
Service complete
Our chauffeurs are quite used to extended as directed bookings that may go into the night and sometimes through the night. We always accommodate and if the need arises, we can do a swap in the morning to give a rest to the chauffeur should the booking go on to the next day.
